A proper weather satellite receiver

One of my colleagues ordered a dedicated weather satellite receiver for us, the only thing left to do was construct the kit. The kit comes from Miroslav Gola and still required some construction (you can apparently buy the kit fully assembled, but where is the fun in that?). And so construction started. It's cloudy! Below is a picture from NOAA-18 from this afternoon's pass at about 14:30 SAST with the spacecraft reaching a maximum elevation of 76 degrees. The first picture is a cropped version of the original from WXSat and the second a slightly manipulated one using The GIMP.
